Mount Claremont
Textured alfresco walls skimmed to a smooth plaster finish
Existing Dulux AcraTex texture-coated alfresco walls skimmed and finished smooth, ready for painting as part of the owner’s plan to bring the room into the home.
- Problem
- The external alfresco area had walls finished in a Dulux AcraTex texture coating. With the owner planning to add new internal doors and make the space feel more like a room within the house, the textured finish needed to be changed to a smooth interior-style surface.
- Work completed
- Preparation of the existing alfresco wall surfaces; AcraPatch Fine skim coat across the wall surfaces
- Finish/system
- Setting plaster applied to achieve a smooth, flat finish; Wall surfaces prepared ready for painting
The external alfresco area had walls finished in a Dulux AcraTex texture coating. With the owner planning to add new internal doors and make the space feel more like a room within the house, the textured finish needed to be changed to a smooth interior-style surface.
The walls were prepared and skimmed with AcraPatch Fine, then finished with setting plaster to achieve a smooth, flat surface ready for painting. The new doors form part of the owner’s wider conversion and are not shown as completed work in these photographs.
